Saying thank you is such a simple thing to do, yet in our busy lives we forget the value of it. Growing up we were taught to always say please and thank you so its something we know, yet we seem to have lost the reason why. When someone holds the door for us we say thank you. When someone makes us a coffee we say thank you, and so on…. But what about when someone hasn’t done anything for you? Do we still have any reason for a simple thank you?

I use this in my business all the time. I thank my team for just being them. I thank people for the loyalty they show to me and my business. I thank people for making my life awesome. They may not have just done something directly, but over time their hard work and dedication deserves a thank you, don’t you think? I love the look on people’s faces when you recognize them for their awesomeness. They aren’t expecting it, andI can tell it just made their day. Its not a hard thing to do and doesn’t cost anything, but there is so much value in it. For them and for me.

So the next time you see someone who’s made a difference in your life thank them for it. Tell them why and tell them you appreciate them. You’ll be amazed at how much better you both feel.
